did:zu Directory
A self-authenticating Decentralized Identifier (DID) system which is strongly-consistent, recoverable, and allows for key rotation
did:zu is the did:plc method, v0.3.0, under its own method name and with its own directory, https://plc.zuzalu.ink, operated by Zuzalu. The operation formats, signing, hashing, recovery rules and directory API are those of did:plc. did:zu identifiers are separate from did:plc identifiers and are resolved only against this directory.
did:plc was originally developed in 2022 by Bluesky Social PBC to support AT Protocol (atproto). AT Protocol does not accept did:zu identifiers.
For Developers
DID resolution can be as simple as:
curl -s "https://plc.zuzalu.ink/did:zu:ewvi7nxzyoun6zhxrhs64oiz" | jq .
Jump in to the specification to understand how to verify self-certifying operation logs.
Check out the HTTP API documentation (generated from an OpenAPI schema) for details on how to submit operations, fetch the current DID document, or get a paginated export of all operations for all accounts.
